Welcome! This tutorial was written to help you share a single cable modem connection with multiple computers.

NOTE: After you are have your equipment setup, wired up and configured, you will have to call technical support to have the modem reset to allow the new device to to be recognize by the modem

Choose your Internet sharing method:

NOTE: Using a router is the most cost effective and the easiest to setup! With a router, the computers in your house connect to the router and the router connects to the cable modem. With a router, the information from the internet comes to the cable modem and then into the router where it is 'routed' to the computer that originaly requested the information. A router, that is setup properly, is also a great security device that can prevent people on the internet from connecting to your computer that are not authorized.
